Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Moray Music Lessons, where we're dedicated to nurturing musical talent and fostering a love for music! Before we embark on this musical journey together, let's go over some important guidelines:

1. Payment for Lessons: At Moray Music Lessons, we offer flexible payment options to accommodate your needs. While we prefer lessons to be paid for in full at the beginning of each month, we understand that this may not always be possible.  Therefore, we also accept weekly payments as long as they are settled before or at the beginning of the lesson.  A failure to make payment before or at the beginning of a lesson, may result in the lesson being cancelled.

Payments can be made directly to the tutor via bank transfer or cash (students of Tom can also pay by contactless card payment at their lesson).  Please ensure that payments are made promptly to avoid any inconvenience or disruption to your lessons. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our administrative processes smooth and efficient.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding payment arrangements, feel free to discuss them with your tutor or contact us for assistance. We're here to ensure that your musical journey with us is as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

2. Lesson Cancellations: We understand that sometimes unexpected events occur. If you need to cancel a lesson, please provide us with at least 24 hours' notice. This allows our tutors to adjust their schedules accordingly. Any missed lessons without sufficient notice must be paid for in full. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in respecting our tutors' time and dedication.

3. Tutor Cancellations: In the rare event that a tutor needs to cancel a lesson, rest assured that we'll make every effort to reschedule your lesson at a mutually convenient time. If rescheduling isn't feasible, the fee for the missed lesson will be credited towards the following month's tuition.

4. Attendance and Punctuality: Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for progress and continuity in learning. Please arrive on time for your scheduled lessons to maximise your learning experience and ensure the smooth operation of our classes.

5. Conduct and Respect: We strive to maintain a supportive and respectful learning environment for all students and tutors. Any behavior deemed disruptive or disrespectful will not be tolerated and may result in termination of lessons.

6. Instrument Care and Responsibility: Students are responsible for the care and maintenance of any instruments provided by the school during lessons or rehearsals. Any damage caused by negligence or misuse may incur additional charges for repairs or replacement.  We would recommend bringing your own instrument to each lesson - It allows your tutor to help you keep it in tune and to monitor the playability of the instrument.

7. Communication: Open communication is key to a successful learning experience. If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're here to support you every step of the way on your musical journey.

8. Privacy: We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. Any data collected from students and their families will be used solely for administrative and educational purposes.

9. Changes to Terms and Conditions: We reserve the right to modify or update these terms and conditions as needed. Any changes will be communicated to students and posted on our website.

By enrolling in our lessons or classes, you agree to adhere to these terms and conditions.

Thank you for choosing Moray Music Lessons as your musical education provider. Let's make beautiful music together!
